I recently inherited an IRA and I don't really know what to do with it. I know if you inherit an IRA from your spouse, you can treat it as your own, but I didn't inherit this one from my spouse. Can I still treat it as my own the way I would be able to if I inherited it from a spouse?
The person I got it from died before having to take an RMD, but I think I still have to make withdrawals from the account or I will get penalized. Any help will be appreciated, i don't think I have much time to make a decision and I am totally clueless about all things financial.
