I am about to file & suspend, but recall a conversation with a friend several years ago telling me to be wary of something related to the Medicare payment withholding. I recently asked her but, like me, she can’t recall. That particular something was in the media at the time (???).
Before I formally pull the trigger, I’d feel better if I knew the pitfall. Does anyone have an inkling of what that might be?

I'm personally no where near retirement age, so I haven't thought much about this topic yet. But here is some information I found on the IRS.gov site.
