What does plasma do exactly? And what does it "take" from you when you donate it?

Plasma os 90% water but the rest is nutrients and salts. Plasma is also the medium in which antibodies travel through your body. You regenerate the plasma rather quickly. That is why you can donate/sell it so much more often than blood.

My experience has been it's ok once in a while. But some people might get greedy and donate a little more than is healthy =/
And others don't fair well even with one donation. Depends on each individual i guess.
