Online Monte Carlo based retirement planner  Reply with quote

Hello,

I recently completed a new online Monte Carlo based retirement calculator that's free and runs inside your web browser.

This one is a little different from many of the others out there in that it makes it easy to experiment with different what-if scenarios to “stress test” your plan. For example, you can plug in a market crash of 25% in year 5 of your retirement and see how it affects the outcome. Or, you could plug in ten years worth of LTC expenses starting at age 75 and see how your plan does under that scenario.

Also, it has support for new research about dynamically changing withdrawal amounts based on market conditions.

For Highlights, the flexibleRetirementPlanner...
* Is FREE and you don't to sign up for anything to use it.
* Helps you model both the accumulation and spending phase of the retirement plan using Monte Carlo Simulation.
* Runs inside a web browser yet is able to complete 10,000 simulation iterations per run.
* Implements dynamic withdrawal decision rule logic (under user control)
* Presents a clear user interface that supports basic as well as complex plans
* Is well documented and even exposes critical source code for peer review.

The planner is relatively new and I'm very interested in hearing feedback from people about what they like and don't like about it. My goal is to make this planner the best free monte carlo based retirement planner on the web.
