| Removing an Ex from Student Loan???? |

Ok, This is my first post, so here goes.....
My girlfriend (soon to be wife) has a student loan that her and her ex-husband (loser) had together. It was a consolidated loan, that is in both of their names. It is for about 80K, and they both owe about 40k each.
My question is....how can she get his name and his debt......off of the loan? Can they divide the loan, and each have a seperate loan in their own name? I don't want her to have anything in his and her name after we get married. He is a DEADBEAT and won't pay a dime for the monthly payment.
I just want her to have a 40k loan, in her name only. The deadbeat ex can jump in a lake for all I care....I just don't want his name associated in anyway with her name.....especially on a loan.
