It's relative to how much $$ you put into your business, and how much of a financial impact it would make on your life. I would say that anything over $1000 is good because you just beat out 99% of all people trying to make income online.

For the average person not to lose money is successful to me. As long as you are consistently making more profit every month, than you are successful.

Success IMHO is getting satisfaction out of what you do and being on the growth path while making reasonable profits.

How Much Money Defines Success  Reply with quote

Interesting,

I use to think it was all about the money when I first started my own business years ago, but in reality, it wasn't about how much you made, but how happy you were making it. If you cannot enjoy what you are doing, why do it. Money is merely a method in which you measure success, not happiness.

For everyone it is a different dlooar amount which they will measure success by, so how about a poll on how much happiness and personal satisfaction does one have that defines success. Success is not always defined by money, I happen to value my freedom more than money. I am free to work or not, that is what I call success.

Good luck to all, Mike

There are different levels of sucess.

Even if I get to where I'm making 1K a month I'll still want to build a downline 2K strong in 1 year.

I'm just cursed with being goal oriented.

I got lucky with one company getting into profit right away. So I started to build with another company.

I'm really glad I got my brother into profit his first month. No one can take that away from me.

So I'm in profit and havin fun; BUT, that MLM goal of getting one who gets one every month for 12 months that is what is going to be sucessfull for me.

Very easy on paper;)

A Mela rep sends out a "what is your hurry" flyer and shows this in years.

Perhaps I should do a 3 year plan 'cuz the 1 year thing never seems to fly.

For me sucess is doing what you want when you want.

One employer I have is making me shave. Abe Lincoln and Jesus Christ would be rejected by them. Thought I had a beard when they hired me but my supervisor claims I had a goatee(sp?)

One person recruiting one person a quarter that would get you to downline 2K.

2K in my downline and I could tell employer that wants me to shave buy bye.

Not needing a traditonal job. I'm half way there. I have a part time and a sub gig. I enjoy having days off now while I'm young.

I don't think you can define success as a finite monetary goal, it's much too limiting and can vary from person to person. Why not just say success to me is reaching my financial goals. That also lets you adjust when you do accomplish the first one without throwing the whole thing out the window and starting over.

A $1,000 is not going to cut it. I am sure with a little work you can do much better. It takes time to build up a real site that will provide residual income. Where as there are other ways such as PPC advertising which can produce profits quicker but you need to continually run ads to maintain it.

I would agree with this. It also helps that the online venture that you are running from home is successful enough for you not to have need of a day job...

That's what I was saying, $1,000 a month may not cut it for you but it could change someone else's life for the better.
