Over here in the UK the Sunday Times ran an article on ebay with real examples of people making good money.
Seems to basically come down to this
" Do you have a reliable way to get products cheaper than other people" if yes then you can make money on ebay

hi, i had some success in selling fishing reels ( pro-fishing type)
for some time. The key to success is in finding products that are in demand and where you have a price advantage. i was able to secure a 50-100 dollars margin selling to certain countries Ebay.
But I find the work hectic as I have a day job too...
nowadays..i just trade the stock markets...even better money

I met a guy that approaches people doing garage sales and offers to do a consinment with them and sell the stuff on ebay. He either chrges a fee or buys the products and resells them.

EBay...not going to make you rich by any means!!! |

Hi all...
I sell on Ebay and sure you can make some extra cash for bills...but if you have any aspirations of making huge bucks, I would say GOOOOOOOD LUCK!
First off all you need to take a load of pictures if you want to sell anything effectively, the fees just to list are becoming ridiculous and you pay those whether your item sells or not. Then there are the fees for each item sold. Ebay takes their cut. If you accept paypal, there goes some more of your profits. If your product is not online information, then you are looking at time to pack and ship..etc, etc..ETC!
Finally, Ebay is so flooded with everything that you have to spend literally hours a day looking for the most current trends in what is selling. You will find that anything NEW gets top dollar for maybe a few weeks, month tops and then soon everyone else is selling the same thing and undercutting the cost until there is no money to be made anymore. Overall, sure Ebay used to be a place where you could make a niche for yourself and make probably awesome profits, but nowadays, like i said...good luck!

EBay is a good choice for a beginning seller, this marketplace can boast with billions of customers, so that even the newby seller have good chances to gain his clients. You can also try your luck at Touch of Modern (check the reviews here https://touch-of-modern.pissedconsumer.com/review.html ), this company seems to be even more promising than eBay.
