All bills are paid form joint account.. My wife has seperate account that has money in it that if it goes to zero no big deal as the other account pays the bills. This works well for us.. It's all really both of ours but we have that seperation so she doesnt have to ask me if it is ok to buy something.

I don't think my scenario is quite up there, but joint account is close.

All income is deposited into my account; I handle all financial matters. There is no 'his' and 'hers', 'your share' or 'my share'.

Everything in a joint account, no individual accounts. I would never buy something that she doesn't approve of and she wouldn't buy something without my approval.

I work from home but I make money too. I handle all the finances, we have a joint account that all our money goes into and I also take care of all the bills.

Our monies being made arent' 50/50 in amt but we still pay everything from one account that we share.

My wife [to be] has a good income and it is just another income source. I do not need approval in any decision, however, that is not to say that I do not value her opinion or that I do not keep her informed. One authority = zero arguments.

Yes, this even includes the second PT I just bought.

It looks like it's unanimous so far. I can't imagine paying bills out of separate accounts. If you're married, why would you need to keep monies separate?

Joint here. We share every bit of money that comes in for the house, kids, bills and fun stuffs. We luckily have never had a financial problem of that sort.

Well I pay 100% of the expenses and my wife can take as much as she wants. So I guess I can not vote?

Similar to many folks here....Only one income, 2 spenders. Joint account. We use to have some "discussions" about who was spending how much, but a suggestion from a neighbor solved that forever.....MAD MONEY!!

After looking at the annual budget, we figure out how much extra there is each month, divide it in half and each get that amount. We are free to do what we want with our half, and the other has no say whatsover in how it is spent (or saved).

Mad money is used for hobbies, jewelry, tools, books, all those fun things we want to have...

Has worked great for 10 years so far.

One income, joint acct. I make the money, my wife keeps the books. Thank god for her.

We used to worry and scream about money. Until we had a very tough year with money, health, funeral, credit debt, tax and car problems. It happened right around September/October of 2001. Remember that time? It was crazy all over. I think we burned out our worry box. We worked hard that year and the next. It was life-changing and harsh.

After that crazy time, we just don't worry about money. Money isn't what's valuable. Time is. Instead of controlling spending, I focus on increasing income. As a result, there always seems to be enough for whatever life brings. I don't know if it's a talent or if I'm just lucky.

Even when there are mistakes (c'mon we all make'em), there's no anger. I just knock down more income. No financial genius, I just keep to what I'm good at and have wonderful clients who love my services and pay on time. Things just work out. Most times I understand how - sometimes it's a mystery to me. I am very grateful and humble for all of it.

Faith in the value of our work over time means we have faith that we can positively affect any outcome. This gives us a peace about the scary things. Since we don't unproductively worry, there is no emotional charge over our finances. This frees us up to be even more creative and do more "right things" which usually results in more income.

We're a team, we enjoy total trust, hard work, raising our girls.

We could save better than we do. Definitely room for improvement there.

since I'm married I share everything with my wife. That's why the preacher says "And now you are one". My wife and I are a team and we work together. Funny concept don't you think? Laughing
