If you business involves physical work, increased pay will help. But if it requires mental help, increase pay will decrease mental focus!

It has been shown in studies!

I would suggest giving them a reason to become something "higher."

When you are reaching a goal or trying to improve for someone else, you improve dramatically. Maybe the people are interested in self development of their skills to help others. Maybe they want to become the biggest company of the country.

Whatever it is, create a "higher self" reason to motivate. Maybe the reason could be to be a hard worker itself! When people see motivational videos, they look to a "high self" or to become a better person overall! Not just in one specific task!

When they want to become better overall, they treat everything better around them including work!

Choose qualities as motivation is a good method!

It is one of the cheapest motivating factor that you can do for your staff. The sense of being appreciated is just overwhelming. It may sound cliche but it still works. Especially to those who have been in the service for so many years. It's not that hard to do, just be appreciative of good works.

If you want to make your business more profitable you need to motivate your employees . you can motivate employees on the base of personal rewards preferences . If a person save your company's money from loss then he should have the right for reward for saving the money for the company. Respect is also an important factor to motivate the employees that can helpful to increase the productivity a double . Smile can also give good results from employee .

Agree to that Coaster. Sometimes subordinates needs a little appreciation can already go a long long way. A 'good job', a good work, excellent.. these are just a few words that helps too. A pat on the back also makes sense.

EMPLOYEE INCENTIVES Are VERY EFFECTIVE MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES  Reply with quote

Interesting,

Having owned several traditional and online businesses over the years, one thing I have found to be effective is to reward employees with incentives, something for free, a benefit paid by employer, a thank you for doing a good job gift certificate, free dinar out, something your employees can appreciate and remember. I use to hand out free dinar certificates on their anniversaries with company as example.

I learned long ago that you have to give to receive, and in these difficult times where you want to squeeze the maximum production you can from employees, you have to show your appreciation if you ever hope to survive this recession, never mind thrive. Pay It Forward, the more you help others, the more you help yourself, pretty simple business strategy if you ask me. A sincere thank you is great, but something of more value is even better. I constantly research incentives to help my employees get through this recession, and so far, so good, it has worked for me.

Success to all,

I agree with a lot of these posts, but you can also always ask your employees what motivates them outright... Communicating honestly with them is one way to show your appreciation, and bonuses, raises and other incentives don't hurt either. Very Happy

If you want to motivate your employee take the lead as their superior you must learn how to improve yourself in a certain way, learn how to interact with your employees lend an ear to hear their opinions, in short you must build a bond with them.

Hi
I think once you determine strategies for motivating your employees, your next task is to decide what you want to motivate them to do. It may be as simple as sitting down and talking about what you hope they can achieve and what you can do to help them meet your expectations. But it may also make sense to get it down on paper so you both have a clear understanding of those expectations.
Keep in mind that employees may be intimidated at a term like "performance review" which is used in many large organisations. But even so, there are valid reasons to sit down with each employee once or twice a year to talk specifically about their job. This is a time to review accomplishments and set objectives. You might break the discussion into the following topic areas:

•Performance goals and objectives
•Skills and knowledge development
•Processes and methods
•Feedback

Thanks

I agree that employee motivation is important. If you really mant to motivate your employee remember to:

1. Appreciative their work and tel them how did it affect.
2. Do come interaction with the employee and ask him/her about what do they like to do in future, and what is the best job that they think that they can do in offic and offer them job for a day, just to see are they true.
3. Make a friendly nature, but let them know that you are boss.
4. Try to share ideas and try to get their ideas. That will help them to think as they are the pert of the company.

If you do this you will see that the employee at your office is interested to work...

I hope that it might help you..

The most effective way to motivate your employee is by appreciating their work through compliments and incentives.
