Why Use Credit Cards ???  Reply with quote

You might not always carry enough fund while they come for shopping in markets. Nowadays carry cash becomes highly risky as there are chances of robbery and theft. This is the reason most customers carry credit or debit cards instead of raw cash. No wonder debit and credit card payments facilities are always incredible and beneficial options for shopaholics. Nothing could be easy, simple and secured without this option. Many a times it is seen that merchants do not prefer dealing with raw cash and thus choose to pay with their own debit and credit cards. Nevertheless, there is always an urgent requirement of credit card terminals to process this kind of transactions. In order to boost your purchases, it is necessary to have such machines to improve your selling power.

Credit cards are one of the easiest ways to track your spending. When coupled with a program like Microsoft Money or Quicken, you can easily see where your money is going and keep track of how your spending is changing from month to month.

CCs have more consumer protection then debit cards and are safer than carrying around cash. If your CC is lost or stolen, you have 30 days (after finding out it was lost or stolen) to report it. As long as you report within 30 days, your liability in the fraudulent charges will be limited. For debit card, you must report within 2 business days or you can be a lot more liable. CC are a lot safer to use online as they provide other extra protections. You should NEVER use a debit card online - only CC (you can pay the CC right off with your debit card after using the CC online if you want to). CC allow you to buy a costly item you need, even if you don't have all of the money currently. You pay it off over time, of course you will pay interest fees for the amount the bank is loaning for you to buy that item. CC give you an advance in your money. Lets say you get your paycheck on the 30th of every month and your CC bill is due on the 1st of every month. You might need to buy something like gas but dont have money until you get paid. You put it on the CC and when you get paid you can immediately pay back the CC company. You don't have any interest payment bc you paid it back on time. In effect, you are getting your paycheck a month ahead bc u use the CC and pay it off when you really get paid. Only do this if you have a steady paycheck and are 100% sure you can pay it off all the way on payday.

Credit cards are dangerous. People with credit cards tend to spend more than people with cash. Having said that, it can be dangerous to carry cash so in my opinion, a debit card is the best option.

A debit card has the same securities as a credit card. The only difference is that with a debit card you are forced to keep track of how much you spend or your checking account will be over drawn.

My suggestion is to not use credit cards. Use debit cards but use them the same as credit cards.

Debt and credit cards are necessary you cant always carry cash around with you especially large amounts as most places dont cash cheques anymore.. also new money management websites are great at allowing you track exactly what your spending and provides way to cut down so that you realise that just because its on a card doesnt mean you can spend as much as you like otherwise you can end up in debt..

Credit cards can be dangerous if you're a compulsive spender or if you're not diligent about making timely payments (triggering fees and interest).

On the other hand, my credit union gives me 1.5% cash back on my purchases, so I charge everything I can to my CC. I hit $100,000 on spending on my credit card for this year recently. I have not paid a nickel for interest as both I and my wife are diligent about making sure the payment goes before the interest charges start. The credit union CC put $1,500 in my savings account last week (1.5% cash back)

Ironically, that money now in savings is earning less interest (0.7%) than the money I am spending on my credit card. Rolling Eyes

Not if they're used judiciously. If you don't understand how they work or if you are not responsible with them, then they are dangerous for you.

What might be good financial advice for one person will hold not for everyone.

Use of credit cards produced by the Power Pay Service has increased throughout the world. For this reason, too, must accept debit cards and credit. This and other plastic money can be accepted easily by contact with a service provider must provide all the details and organize the installation of credit card machines, but we must be fully aware of all procedures and terms and conditions are applicable.

I think credit cards are very useful for everyone, as there will always be times where your in need to buy big purchases or come across and unfortunate event where you might not have that certain amount of money right there and then.. however people need to understand that the money needs to be paid back and that there spending needs to be controlled otherwise they will find themselves in debt.. therefore you need to live within your means..

Hi friend
You should use credit card because most credit cards have some type of rewards program. Generally these will give you 1% of the total of your purchases back in cash, points toward airline tickets, gift certificates for stores, etc. When looking for a credit card, compare these reward programs. Some only give you the equivalent of .05% back.It is very useful when you have no money.
