A business plan helps you assess your goals for your business, your risks associated with the business, your projected cash flows (breakeven point), and other various important parts of your business. It organizes all the thoughts together into a paper to organize your thoughts. Most important it helps you see all the challenges in your business and if your business idea is realistic (or if it still needs some work before you put it into action). While you could just as easily research these topics (financials, risks, goals, etc) without putting them into a business plan like that, for some people it will help them to have a plan. The most important reason to have a good plan is if you are trying to get a loan for the business. You should have a Business Plan if you expect a bank to loan you money. It should be well-made and have ambitious but realistic goals.

If you don't have any plan for business then you may not understand where you started the work and where you are going to finish it.
There is too much competition so before making any plan you need to understand competition also.

That makes sense of course, Plan it up first. The way businesses has to be done is planning ahead. Some may think it is a very old fashioned way but it always help.

Without a business plan under current conditions it is strongly recommended not to start commercial activities, coz the possibility of failure is too high. Largely in the established market relations business plan is necessary in two cases: for internal use at the enterprise and to attract investment.

If you are definitely into it, you can write it yourself and plan it. Have everything that you have in mind put into writing. From there you can ask a good business consultant and know what you should do and do it right.

To add more... besides yourself, your advisers can help write it for you too. Advisers can be your professional business consultant, or maybe your bestest neighbor who happens to be your business partner. What I mean is, you get to choose who would write it.

I know how to write business plans and the steps you need to take to the business. I will not be borrowing money to start my business. The problem is to sit down and write the business plan. So you can only go with someone who is doing the business plan for me.
