Try to put aside a little bit of money every month, if you have more one month to put aside then put more that month. Every little bit helps, and it makes it that much easier during the holiday season. Also a lot of stores take on extra help around that time of the year, so you can try getting a job to help ease the burden.

We do secret santa on both my side of the family and my inlaws, so the most we spend between my wife and I is around $200. It's great and you'd be amazed the gifts you can give someone only spending that much. So it's quite easy to come up with that money in December.

Excellent advice Gary. Putting money aside is a huge help. Also, looking for sales and buying presents a few months before Christmas can be a big money saver.

Consistently, the money that I earn online is kept away for internet use. I do extra chores like buying and selling items. I am contemplating on putting up an auction site, it items exchange sites. I hope it will work well.

My kids are doing the efforts of gathering their things that they will not need. They will be putting these things up for sale. The money will be for them to save.
