Alright, so I think I'm pretty screwed from here on out unless I can get a plan going. I'll just highlight my problems, you guys can start giving me some advice because... I need it.
I am 24 and the only person in my family to go to college. I was pressured to at a young age because no one else had and I had the opportunity to do so. Problem is, I had no guide and no role model. I basically ended up in college and was forced to choose a major in my sophomore year because I had no clue what I was doing.
I chose Sociology. I minored in History and Criminology. In essence, I have no job options. I wish I could go back and change it, but I'm stuck. I wish I had chosen a job in the technical profession, since I am very interested in technology of all kinds.
I am now about $15,000 in debt from school loans. That's my only debt, thank God.
I make only about $14,000 a year as a dog trainer at PetSmart. Maybe getting promotion to management soon, which really won't be that big of a pay jump if there is a pay jump in that at all.
I drive a twice totalled Cavalier with 150K miles on it. Soon, I will probably need a new car.
That is the bad: here is the good.
Currently I'm living with my uncle, so no rent and whatnot.
I'm willing to do whatever I can to make money. Make no bones about it, I want to make lots of money. I am willing to work hard, I am willing to do what it takes. I will work however many hours a week to do this.
I just took my LSAT and scored 160. That's high enough to get into a few law schools around here, it's not great, but it's not horrific.
My plan has been to get into law school, but now I'm worried that there are too many lawyers out there. Will I get a job? Can I pay off that huge student loan?
So what do I do? I put applications out constantly and get no bites. Any ideas where to put in applications? I'm willing to do ANYTHING to get out of this hole I'm in and make it in this world.

I feel your pain, dude. History major here. I wish someone had talked to me about getting deep into student loan debt in a major with few job outlets. Still I am a teacher now, and make significantly more than you do training dogs. You could do the same. There are programs everywhere that allow you to become a teacher while you work full-time and earn a salary. These are alternative credentialing or licensing programs. Depending on where you are, these will vary. In California, you'd have to take a CSET for subject-matter competency, as you cannot use your sociology major. I'd choose a subject that's in demand, like a science, since you mentioned you like tech. There's huge demand for science teachers, and math. And with math, you have the advantage of not inhaling fumes all day (chemistry) or cleaning up lab messes (all science subjects). So if you're good enough at math, take the test for it. In states other than California, the test will be called something else, like maybe Praxis. Another option that's in demand is teaching special ed. FWIW, students with mild disabilities can be significantly harder to work with than students with severe disabilities--not something you realize if you haven't done it before, and most credential programs want you to choose your population. I don't know if that's at all interesting to you--but it beats going into more debt in a law program.

Also, I question why you would go into law if you like tech. Do what you like, particularly if it's something as potentially lucrative as a tech career. If you're willing to go into more student debt, go to a tech school and learn a tech trade.
