I do always prefer a blog if it's about making money online but for selling services or products, website is the best platform. However, we can still integrate a blog on service/product selling website for quicker indexing and ranking.

In essence, a blog is a simple one page website. But a lot of people make the distiction between a blog and a website that allows for multiple pages, subpages, and more internal navigation. At least in my opinion anyways lol.

Blogs are easy to rank in search engines and very quick to create, but need constant updating to stay in the rankings. Web sites are much better for selling stuff but require much more thought and work upfront.

Well, most individuals would be prefer a web blog rather than a web site. They both satisfy the requirement of posting your content to the community be it business & product details or just individual ideas you wish to share.

I would prefer to have both website and blog. Because blog will help you to get more visitor and website would be the static information for the services or product that you are going to promote.
