Financing for Education and Debt Consolidation  Reply with quote

So I'm trying to obtain a loan to a) finance my eduction and b) consolidate my debt.

In total I'm looking to borrow $30,000 to cover my expenses for school plus pay back about $6,000 in miscelaneous debt. I would want to get this money in one lump sum and I would apply any scholarships, grants, etc. that I receive in the future to the principal. I'm not eligible for federal financial aid.

I don't have good credit, but I have very little living expenses and a willing cosigner with an 800+ credit score and steady income. I have a full-time job and expect to start paying back this loan while in school.

Could I obtain financing like this through Sallie Mae? Or should I turn to banks for this kind of financing? Any help would be appreciated.

Such a loan is not available (for obvious reasons). But why not borrow for school in the conventional way, ie about $3000 per semester? Can you share your real plan? - the reason that you want $30k?

Credit runs into our lives and has effect on almost every decision we make. Bad credit runs in our credit application and has effects on every loan we borrow. A recent survey has shown that one fifth of the adult population cannot qualify for regular loans. For such a huge loan borrowing population there are specific loan programme called bad credit loans.
With bad credit loans you can borrow loan amounts of the likes of £5000-£75,000. Repayment term will vary from 5-25 years. Both secured and unsecured options are available for bad credit loans. Unsecured bad credit loans will require no collateral and will suit if you want to borrow smaller amounts. For larger amounts secured bad credit loans are appropriate and would require collateral like home, real estate or car etc.
