Graham/Dodd - Security Analysis (this is a very long book, so read Intelligent Investor first!)

A lot of people underestimate how problematic renting out a house can be. If you get a bad tenant, it can become a total nightmare. Even with a good tenant, you may be getting calls at 2 am to unclog ...

The Capital One secured card mentioned above isn't bad, but there are quite a few secured cards on the market. I've heard from many who have had success by going to their current bank. For example, if ...

Well the original poster wrote this quite some time ago, but it's funny to look back. These days there are no such thing as low APR cards in this post-recession era. Maybe that will change someday but ...

In normal times I would say anything above a 725 is good bu ...

There are a lot of great points here and valid arguments for both sides.

As far as credit cards go, in my opinion if you can use them responsibly and pay them off in full each month (avoiding all i ...

I like the raking leaves idea. I would say try and come up with things that are service oriented like that (so you are getting something back for giving). I think people are more inclined to give, whe ...

I would check with a licensed tax professional. The state of California is pretty aggressive when it comes to taxing online businesses. At our office in Los Angeles we have to pay taxes on revenue eve ...
