I'm 37 and have about $139k in a 401K now. My salary is $95K and I contribute 9% to my 401K now ...

You guys are right so I sent in my whole life cancellation form today. My income is about $97K a year so I guess my term insurance won't really cut it. I will look at other options soon. Thanks.

Personally, I would cash out the Whole Life right away and get a good Term Policy (pure insurance, no designer investing).

First question is "why do you have both term and whole life?"

It's probably what the salesman wanted me to have. Otherwise I don't have a rational answer. I put too much trust on this at the time.

IMO, save up 20% for a down payment but then DON'T use it for a DP, instead keep it in your Taxable Account where it earns a better return, and is immediately available - ie, don't lock estra capita ...
