I dont make a living off of ebay but i do make some extra cash.... As lot of times i pick up great clearance deals from stores and resell them on ebay..... Best return was a palm voice recorder picked up 4 at walmart for a total of 20 for all four. Sold each one on ebay for 30 . I do this about once a month it gives me a few extra bucks in my pocket

Greetings,
Ebay is a great sourse of generating and extra income, but don't think it is easy, as it is not. You have to have access to products to sell and you have to be able to buy them at wholesale. I have several wholesale sources and found several hot products to sell on eBay, but it took months of trying before people started buying. (g)
There are very few online businesses which will allow you to earn a decent return without time, money and effort. I have been making a living online for over a decade, and it is more difficult every day for various reasons, most related to scams.
Good luck, Mike

Hi, Akisini.
Do they buy wholesale? What kinds of products are they selling?

Greetings,
You want to find products which are unique as possible as eBay will usually advertise your products in general terms through many PPC sites. I did real well selling umbrellas believe it or not. I buy them for a few bucks and averaged 100% ROI, so think of items that not everyone else is selling is best way to start.
Good Luck, Mike

regarding selling on ebay |

he sells many types of items, wholesale, retail, resales....
I told him some people might want to talk with him about what he does. He has been doing this for years. Not sure if he would give out free advice or charge a nominal fee.

I had some luck selling wholesale information on ebay. This includes airsoft guns, paintball guns, wholesale traffic, scooters, etc. I do not make a living out of it but it does bring in extra cash.

I sell on ebay part time. I've been buying and selling for over 5 years now. I've made some good money in the past, lately I've been selling very part time because I'm trying to make money other ways on the net.
With anything worth doing it takes time to learn. If you're just starting out do a lot of research. Look at other peoples auctions, study which sellers & which products are selling and which ones are not. I've sold new items, but lately I've been shopping the thrift stores, estate sales & yards sales to get my products. I've learned to be very picky and not waste my time on something I may only make $2 on. Hope this helps!
Oh, btw, I'm new here

Greetings,
Grest post, and very true and welcome to the forum. It took me months to learn how to maximize results on ebay, and with so much competition now, there are no secrets left to exploit, so it is more difficult now than a few years ago when I was using it. Fortunately, there are easier ways to earn a living than selling on the internet. Too many people think they will find their wealth with no effort, but just the opposite, it takes a ton of hard work and persistance to succeed on the internet.
Good luck, Mike

Hi this is from Alvita regarding Ebay and other questions |
|
|
Hi as I see others have said, and also what I have seen from my friend, who sells on ebay. It is a lot of work. You have to have the capitol to buy wholesale, advertise, and also be able to ship your products out in a timely fashion. I had to warn my friend as he got a big order from another country, and as I suspect, they were going to scam him and he would have sent the product and been out of both his product and not gotten bona fide payment. It gets more difficult as people use others for dishonest gain.
I have another posting and I am so happy to announce for those of you wanting to do a business, to see my other posting. I am a nurse by profession and as such painstakingly care for each and every person that joins my business. I have been looking for years for the "it" business and now I have found "IT". It has enabled me to now work from home, full-time, leaving my $70K+ job, as of last Friday, Nov. 26th, 2004.
I am also willing to answer your various questions very HONESTLY about this business.
If you want to learn more, check the other posting I think it is under Power Profit Team. Or go to my site, or email me.

eBay was a great place for small business to expand, but now its much harder to break into the fees are getting larger and larger and more and more wholesalers are selling direct on eBay. Unless you are very savvy with eBay rules and regulations and fees you can end up losing allot of money on eBay. I pay about 7000.00 a month in eBay fees and another 2-3000.00 to paypal. Thats about 10,000.00/month expense just for doing business w/ them.
oh yea and thier Customer service sucks. it doesnt exist.. but if you have a good product at a GREAT price you can make some money on there..

Maybe my view is too simple, but, I have earned a very good living selling on ebay since 2000.
I buy my items from liquidators, online clearances, at yard sales, church sales and I've even sold things that I got for free!
I think if you put your mind to it, are consistent, know a bargain, watch for trends and throw in some luck from time to time, you can make great money on ebay...I have and do.
It's not an easy job, it takes time to find the items, then take nice pictures, load the pics, crop and ready them for display, write a good description, organise your items and get them boxed...it's a real job!
It has provided me with a nice income and flexability. But, I'm organized and have a system down.
I love it!

I've had some great personal experience with ebay as a seller. I use online games like WoW, EQII, etc. and make a load of gold, then sell it on eBay. It's a great supplemental income! (Plus, you get to have some fun!)
