All I heard about debt settlement had made me realize was that it is a negative source of facility that makes people cost more. I think that is not the truth. Due to debt settlement companies many people are now living debt free life. If it can be utilized properly then there wouldn’t be any such news. There are some companies which are providing worst kind of service and they are creating the bad name for debt settlement.

The bottom line is people do strange things in desperation because they only consider the immediate impact. There will always be someone willing to exploit this for their own gain and debt consolidation companies lead that list.
What people fail to realize at first is this is only a temporary solution and if they don't change the factors that got them into the problem, they will quickly be facing the same thing again.

That's true. People should do business in a proper way. Debt settler should do and organize their business so that people get benefited from them. This type of business is done to get people out of the trouble not to make more trouble.

Repairing bad credit will start in ourselves. Meaning wee need to spend what we can afford and pay bills on time  Even you will repair you credit now and still doing the old lifestyle of splurge then there is no use.

Debt settlement can be done properly with your creditor is the quickest way you can get rid of all your Debt. The only negativity of Debt settlement is that the credit score will suffer for a while.
But, the advantage of this is that, Debt settlement companies specialize in taking care of the details and setting up the agreements with your creditors. Debt settlement is not that bad, as the companies should be trustable.

Well, that's really the problem, is making sure you find a trustworthy company. Yes, the idea behind the company is to do good: to get people out of debt, but the bigger idea behind the company is to make money, and a lot of debt settlement companies are not finding a good compromise between those two goals.
It's not to say that trustworthy debt settlement companies don't exist, it's just that a lot of them aren't, and it makes it hard to trust any.

there are many companies that provide debt settlement but sometime it is hard to trust them, but some companies provide you too many services that serves you in the best way they can like, with debt settlement, bill consolidation and debt management which are the best ways to pay off debt.

Why should we wait for other advice to manage our money. I think its our responsibilities to manage hard earn money property so that we can enjoy dept free life.

Debt settlement companies offer a settlement program wherein they negotiate with your creditors/CA in order to settle the debt for less than what you owe. These companies charge an upfront fee for their services.

I must say very true indeed you have as, it is important for us to make our future secure we have to go for such expenditure that is actually work according to the financial ups and down.
