Email marketing is about building relationships. Provide your list with information they can use. Build trust with your list and NEVER send them offers to products you can make money on but does not provide them any real value. Money is in the "List" IF you build trust with them and you provide value to them.

Interesting,
We read about the massive blocking of emails and it is getting worse as I have experienced. Even emails on my lists are now being blocked 50% of the time. Anyone else seeing a significant increase in blocked emails in past few months. I am getting a mere fraction of incoming emails I use to, and that is a clear sign something is changing in industry.
I have been communicating with a friend for over a decade on same email address on both sides, and yet he is seeing half my emails go to his spam box now, which is what I have been seeing in my spam box as well. So I was curious, anyone else seeing this too?

The best way to use emal marketing is to use variable data to contact people who have previosly spoken to you. These "opt-in" lists aren't optin if they didn't opt-in to you. If I sent you a list of my clients and prospects you emailing them would be spam. When I email them its just correspondence.

This is ringing bells in me. I have till now turned down Email Marketing, as every time i get a mail they turn up to be spammy.
So a best way to do it is let users register for email alerts and with their permission we can send them useful and informative emails. Probably they will find out the Marketing link and satisfy our aim too.

There is no mystery you've gotten Spam complaints on your ip address or domain and destroyed your reputation. It's easy to fix but not worth getting into here

Agreed, except I have never sent bulk email or spam from my address, so how could I get any complaints?

I am a paid consultant for a commercial financing company in regards to their SEO and internet issues. One of their employees once got something like 4-10 spam complaints in one day just because he sent 50 emails introducing himself to people he didn't know. It doesn't take a lot of complaints.
Goto whatismyipaddress.com and get your ip address.
Then goto this website www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx and enter your ip address. I guarantee you are on some blacklist. Work to get yourself removed, which isn't that hard. Once you are off I can tell you how to setup a whitelisted and monitored smtp to send emails through for free. You'll actually be able to see your email reputation any time you want.
The reality is you COULD be sharing an ip address, a VPN or something else that has a bad repuatation. It is also possible a bot infected your computer or still is. Email is a pretty cut and dry system, whether your mail gets delivered or not isn't a complex equation.
In any case, fix your ip, then goto socketlabs.com. Apply for a free 2000 email per month SMTP account. Once your approved, replace your current smtp settings with theirs and you'll be in business.

email marketing is direct marketing where you reach to direct customers, but these days customers are well aware many time they just ignore your letter so be sure how to attract them as market is very competitive

Email marketing to some people is a 'silent' earning ninja. They use it EVERY DAY!! Yes, every single day and send thousand and thousands of emails daily. That's how you make money. PERSISTENCE. It WILL pay off if you have a good program. Trust me. This is one of the BEST proven techniques of the internet of all time in terms of sales/commissions/turnovers/affiliate referrals/etc. Be sure NOT to spam though-you must have opt-in emails to do this.
