It depends what ads networks are you monetizing. There is PPC when you get money if link is clicked.
There is networks where cost is for impressions, so decide what fits you needs best

Why don't you use your SEO skills for some affiliate marketing? You don't need any clients and you can do it in your spare time.

there are several sites I use to make money. The most lucrative is Microworkers, which pays you to do tasks like registering for a website or reviewing something on Amazon. Most tasks are paid somewhere around 30-50 cents.
THe first payment comes by snail mail and it can take up to 4 weeks for you to receive it. But the payments afterwards can be processed through Paypal within a week. In three month's I've maid over $80, so it's the best site I've found.
Also there is Paypal Money Maker, which pays 1.00 for every referral you get. There is no service being sold, it is just money being passed around. You pay 1.36 to get the referral link, and then you get 1.00 directly from the people who sign up with you through paypal.

Everyone wants quick money but it is not possible to make money quickly on internet, we need to learn it first, we need to stick with those ways which are real but don't divert your mind to many ways of making money online just try to stick with one.

These are just a few to mention where you can get good and genuine online writing or design work. However, it is always best that you give your best to earn good. Not just writing crap for the $. Soon enough it will catch on you, then no one will hire you again.
