Should I pursue advertisers or Goog Adsense  Reply with quote

So I started to track my website hits at the end of April this year and to my surprise I get over a thousand hits.

New to this web thing so I need some constructive opinion. Are the hits still too low? Should I pursue advertisers or goog adsense.

I'm guessing the break down of users are 80 percent models, 10 percent business owners needing models, 5 who knows and 5 pervs.

Thanks in advance.

If you're aware of what's causing the magic, then you should try to maximize exposure and advertising pages/views or blog/forum to try and give them what they came for. I'd use both google and amazon advertising. Good luck.

I mainly use Google Adsense myself. Minimum payout is $100, but it's some really nice extra money when you get a check.

I'm really unsure of what you're asking. Are you asking if you should join Google Adsense program because you feel you now have enough traffic?

Also, which program are these stats coming from? Reason I ask is because for some stats program number can be unreliable because it may count a lot of bot traffic rather than just real visitors.

If your question is to start a PPC campaign in order to help increase your website traffic, then you have to weigh your options. You can either start an SEO campaign which takes a few months to even start seeing real progress, or you can start a PPC campaign in which you see results almost immediately, however as soon as you stop the campaign your results will start to tank.

Google Adsense works perfectly for me but it is also great to explore other options.

I'd pursue advertisers. Adsense gives you pennies where affiliate programs, CPA and REAL advertisers can give you dollars. Many of them. As long as you can pull good data and show it to them, you can call the shots if you can give them good traffic.

I'd like to add hits are not the number of visitors. Hits can include each server call and can include each image of a page loaded. A heavily loaded page can show a dozen hits from one page load from one visitor. What you want to count are the uniques. Start reading your site analytics and logs and you'll soon learn which are search bots and which are real vistitors.
