Make sure you're targeting the right keywords with the most potential to increase your traffic. List your site in all the local listings such as Google Places, Yahoo Local, and Bing. Also submit your site to all online directories to help your sites ranking. Creating a blog and offering quality and relevant content will help build you traffic as well as get others to link to your site.

Well, you could try to join social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Make sure you use your real name. Grow your network on those websites. Make quality posts regularly. People will eventually notice you and visit your website if they find your posts helpful.

I think joining social sites would be a great idea. Of course there are requirements like the choice of word to be used for tags. The approach of the site should be effectively targeting the right group in the market.
