Do not use duplicate contents while doing article submission. And another thing is never use black hat SEO techniques as Google crawler does not like it.

hard to put up an exhaustive list, but if you google black hat seo, pretty much anything mentioned there will probably hurt you in terms of SEO. if not in the short term, than definitely in the longer term

Avoid all the black hat SEO technique because it can be happen it gives you result so fast and easily but after some time Google can punish your site and all the waste of time .
White hat SEO Complete opposite to Black Hat SEO.Its takes long time to get traffic and rankings but resukts life long.
If you need any emergency better to use gray hat SEO.

All are working white hat seo to improve results but some persons known how to work on Black hat SEO strategy, So What is Black hat SEO strategy - It is the process of going against search engine guidelines to manipulate search engine results page for higher rankings. Marketers found to be using black hat SEO methods can be issued Google penalties, be changed results from search engines or see metrics completely drop.
