Forum posting just doesn't give you only traffic etc but also gives enough understanding of the topics in which you are in interested. I always like to read the posts and threads from others in order to gain knowledge and stay updated with what's going on in my particular field. It finally helps you to develop further strategies and gain more profit on the web.

True, but while posting in forums, try as much as possible to post or create helpful posts and threads to contribute to the forum which in turn helps other forum members.

This is essential. You must contribute quality posts to the forum.
Join forums you are interested in, forums related to your niche, etc. And contribute!!
If you're just there to spam, at best your posts will be ignored and at worst, you be banned from the forum.
