Credit reports contain four pieces of data. They include personal information (name, address, contact telephone number, your date of birth, data concerning your current employment), public and collection records (for example, debts, bankruptcy, etc.), your previous credit history and inquiries.

A credit report includes your current credit score, negative marks if any and all positive marks such as information about on-time payments. This information helps creditor in determining your creditability and your eligibility for future loans.

Credit reports include your name, current and former address, employment, credit and loan histories, inquiries, collection records and public records such as bankruptcy filings and tax liens. Each of your credit card and loan records shows your payment history going back 7 years along with other account details such as your credit limit.

These are the details included in your credit report:

Personal information - your name, address, date of birth, and employer
Credit account history - credit card company/lender, type of account, credit limit, balance, status, and two-year payment history
Public records - bankruptcy, tax liens, and judgments
Credit inquiries - creditor and date of inquiry

You can personalize your credit report by keeping your records away from the eyes of other companies. You need to understand that once you make an inquiry this will remain in your report up to two years.

Hi  Reply with quote

Credit report contains a lot of information regarding to your present financial situation. The credit score on a credit report is observed by the lender when you apply for a loan. If you have a good credit score, you will get some finance from lenders. otherwise your loan application will be rejected especially in case of banks. Actually the credit report contains the following information.
1. Credit card information like payments and balances history
2. Public nature & financial information like bankruptcy, tax payment dues etc..
3. Personal information like religion status, marital status etc.
4. Saving and account checking information

Everyone above is totally spot on. What you need to watch for are INCORRECT things on your report that can really impact it. There are errors all over the place so be mindful of those. Even small errors can make a difference in your score.
