Financial Planner questions  Reply with quote

I'm debating whether or not I want to have a financial planner manage my investments or if I want to continue to do it on my own.

Can you please provide your perspective on financial planners and your experiences and what should I consider in making this decision?

Thank you very much.

I recommend the book 'The Investment Answer' by Goldie & Murray. It is fairly new, it is probably in your public library. It is only 55 pages long - and it concisely describes investing. I probably liked it so well because I agreed with everything they said. Very Happy

No, no planner - no one cares as much about your financial success as you do.

Hi i would like to suggest the most important and influential book ever written about value investing. Originally published in 1934 by Ben Graham, this work has been heralded by such notable investors as Warren Buffett as "the best investing book ever written".so you can read this book then you will get some idea about financial investment.

If you're having success in managing your finances there's no need in hiring a financial planner. This is also an advantage on your part because you can learn more through your experience whether it is good or bad. But if you're just a newbie I think it's best to hire a professional. And once you've already learned the ropes and you have the confidence in managing your finances you can do it on your own.

Financial planners work with clients to help them invest their money. They may work for a bank, insurance company or other financial institution. To become a financial planner you must undertake specific finance training as well as become accredited as it is a highly regulated industry.
