A former employer has offered a buyout on my pension. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. Here are the terms:
Buyout amount: $15,400
Years until retirement: 19
Monthly pension amount at 65: $344

I believe that you should transfer your pension to IRA account, so that it will last you for your retirement life and will open more investment options to you. Go ahead with IRA account.
