Looking for new bank account  Reply with quote

Hey everyone,

I want to apply for a second bank account that I can use online. My credit score isn't very good so I've been looking for banks who don't do credit checks and found banks like eccount money or co-op cashminder. Does anyone have any experience with these kind of accounts?

Thanks very much!

Thanks for your answer. Do you have one of those bank accounts, can you recommend a specific one?
Thanks you Smile

I found this page with a whole bunch of banks but it's kind of hard to decide with all the choices: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/currentaccounts/CurrentAccountsResults.asp

Takes weeks for ebanks to credit your deposits, and so they're a potential mess. I'd use a credit union and forget about eBanks. Checking doesn't typically require credit check unless you want credit (overdraft protection). You can use their Visa Checking Debit Cards for online shopping.

I second the Credit Union Idea. You can join the Pentagon Federal Credit Union.
To join you may need to make a one time donation of $15 to "Voices for America's Troops".
Take out an Auto Loan, and apply for their CC and get 5% cash back on your gasoline purchases for your car.
