Hello ,
I am having small 401 k account based on QDRO with J.P.Morgan ,
in this case serving Bechtel corp .
I have fixed low income , 20000/year range , and I am paying about 2000
tax on it , what is huge .
I have no knowledge , about retirement accounts , so please
forgive naive questions .
Does J.P Morgan offer traditional IRA accounts ?
Is it possible to open IRA account with them , transfer money from
401 , contribute some every year, to get some tax relive and DO ALL THIS ON LINE ??
I am an expat , south of the border .
My income are alimony , which can end up any time .
I want to wait with applying for ss , till it happens (alimony end up), or when I am 64 ,
3 years from now . My ss in the best case, will be a half of my income now .
(scary) .
Yes I know , I need to ask these question to the people in charge of
the plan, but for some reason it is very difficult to communicate with them,
and I would like to gather some knowledge , and be better prepared,
before I do it .
