Paid surveys, in a nutshell, is a type of marketing tool that many a company have been using for years now. Paid surveys particularly collect data in regards to retailer products as well as their services in a particular location or area.

That's true Gretta. It's become huge business on the internet and companies are willing to pay people for their feedback and their time.

Never pay to join a survey site, legitimate paid survey sites are free to join.
Participating in Market Research for Paid Survey Sites will require enormous time. If you have time to spend and have internet access, apply there.

Unless you're not able to work, I'd suggest that it may be more profitable to get some part time work . . . but I haven't researched how much can be made from the survey sites.
Even if they pay a decent amount, I'm guessing there are limited volumes to go for?

Volume can be limited at times. But the beauty is belonging to many different sites. I'll focus on a few/several sites at a time. If one site doesn't have a survey for me that day, I'll just switch it out with another site.

Just be careful when getting started with these opportunities. There are certainly some legitimate companies out there where you can get paid for your time, but there are also companies out there who say they pay cash, but in reality just pay you in "token" or "coins" that you can redeem once you accumulate enough of them.
Again, I know there are legit opportunities, I'm just saying based on my personal experience, buyer beware.

I agree Matthew. I am very picky about the sites I use and I only work with sites that pay in cash (check, paypal, etc.).

Survey savvy- a good free survey site
My experience is with SurveySavvy. I really got a check redeemed after one month. But problem is frequency of getting available new surveys fitting to your profile.

The frequency of surveys can be a challenge. I've found the best way to deal with this is to belong to a number of survey sites and focus on a few/several at a time.
