IRA Question |
I just opened a Roth IRA. One of the options was to make my contribution for the 2004 year or 2005. I made it for 2004 this way I still have the opportunity to max out for 2005.
My question is does it matter that I've already filed my taxes for 2004? or it doesn't matter.

You can file a 1040X to amend your tax return, but I don't think it is necessary since you contributed to a Roth rather than a traditional. Review your filed return to see if you need to make an update.
