Odesk is just a middleman, the thing that determines whether it's good or bad are the participants. Those who post the jobs and those who undertake them are individuals and subject to all the frailties that come with being human beings.

Well said No-Brainer. Smile

Successful freelancing also depends on your expertise livehelp. If you have skills and experience that are in demand, you'll be able to find freelance work.

As a picky side note, I'd avoid typing in all caps when you apply for work. You don't want people to think you are yelling at them. Smile

You've got to have a sense of humor once in awhile. It keeps life and the forum fun. Smile

Your first response cracked me up. And good points were made about typing in ALL CAPS and why you shouldn't.

Ya, I know it's a financial forum and you've gotta have a certain decorum. However, once in a while I miss being the forum cut-up; we had a lot of fun in certain other forums until in one forum some new owner came along and put a stick-in-the-mud in as lead moderator....she was just looking for an excuse to get me banned and it didn't take long. I believe the original poster was looking to freelance, not outsource.
