Congratulations on obtaining your employment. I am guessing you are under age 25 and single, you do not say. More information about you and your finances is needed to recommend which funds you should select.
Be sure to read the prospectus for the funds you choose.
And be sure to read the Summary Plan Description for your 401k plan.
You can also see how your funds have been performing and other fund information at Yahoo: http://finance.yahoo.com/
As long as your top tax rate is 15% or less, I would suggest you use the ROTH 401k or a ROTH IRA. When your top tax rate goes above 15%, then begin to contribute to the Traditional IRA or traditional 401k an amount to keep your top tax rate at 15%.

I second the above recommendation to do your research using Morningstar and Yahoo Finance. Both are excellent sites for investing information.

Congratulations on your new employment.
This is a great time to chip in this piece of advise as you are only just about setting up your first 401K. Be sure to include precious metals in your retirement plan portfolio as you go. They are inflation proof, and their value in not affected by the uncertainty in today's economy.
