Airlines Collapse: They Will Bounce Here For Profit |

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) and United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE:UAL) have collapsed over the last two days. Both stocks are down over 10% from their recent highs. Delta Air Lines and United Continental Holdings Inc have more downside to go before they see a quick, sharp bounce. If played correctly, this bounce can pay you big money.
The Delta Air Lines buy level would be the daily 50 moving average at $37.41 if hit tomorrow. If not, the time factored buy level is $34.95. Time is important here as the level of $37.41 is only valid on a three bar surge which would be tomorrow.
United Continental Holdings Inc has support at $39.45. There is no time factor as long as this level is reached within the next week. Look for a multi-day bounce where.

Well, market timing always works, until it doesn't.
The stocks are down because fuel costs are one of the largest factors in the cost of running an airline. Right now, in Iraq, there is a civil war going on, and oil prices are up about 10% since March of this year, and expected to go higher still if the Iraqi situation is not resolved quickly. Oil prices went up about 5% while the airline stocks were dropping.
There may be a small bounce, but I think these stocks are going to go down still, so you have to remember that every bounce starts first with a drop, and we don't know where the drop will end. I would never attempt to speculate without a lot more research and understanding of the situation.

Oil prices are up another $3 per barrel on the Iraqi problem. Most likely, these stocks will tank another 5% to 10% today and continue down through the week.
There will be a bounce, but from what nadir, and to what level?
