Not sure where the best place to go is and also, if spending on a credit card is kept under the monthly limit and payment is made on time will there be any other charges? Thanks and have a blessed day!
There are so many options, you really have to search around for best offer. If you have no credit at all, it will be difficult, but try going to your bank you have checking or savings account with, and if you don't have these, then Capital One has first time credit card offers, and Discover does for students in college, so start there. If you are not on any of the credit bureau reports yet, it is not easy in this economy as banks are for the most part only looking for platimum credit ratings. If you have any credit unions in your area, they too are usually going to be a little more lenient of no credit applications.
All the best for your first credit card. Have you given the application yet. Since you are from Charlotte the best place for you to go will the Charlotte Metro Credit Union. They deal with all kind issues concerning credit cards. You can apply for one, cancel the card, get multiple cards all at one place. And in case you are considering getting multiple credit cards, read this before you do that: http://www.northwoodmortgage.com/mortage-questions/multiple-credit-cards-good-bad/

You can set up an account at CreditKrama.com if you do not already have one. It is a free service and very useful. They will give you suggestions for credit cards and let you know what your possibility for approval is with each credit card option.
