|Getting a home loan using a house we own in China
We live in Canada and want a loan to buy a house. We currently own a house in China, and we're planning to sell it roughly 15 years later, but not now because a relative lives there.
We asked a bank (Royal Bank of Canada) if we could count this house as an asset to get a loan, but they said no.
Is there really no way to get any money out of this house in China before we can sell it (since our relative lives there)? Not even a portion?
Thanks for your ideas
