Top Ways to Save Money on Electric Bill |

Interesting in saving some money on your monthly electric bill?
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the average residential monthly electric bill was $110.21 in 2013. For many people this is the most expensive utility bill each and every month. By changing some simple habits you can cut this bill probably in half. Time to start paying less!
Smart Thermostat
Purchase a remote thermostat for your house. This highly convenient tool allows you to access your thermostat program remotely from a tablet or phone. Most of these devices allow you to set timers for regulating the heating (i.e. turn off heat automatically when leaving for work, etc). Seems like a really smart and easy way to lower the electricity bill without worrying about remembering to turn off heating/AC before leaving.
Turn of Lights
This is fairly obvious but often disregarded. When you leave a room or bathroom, remember to turn off the lights. There is really no reason to leave lights on unless if needed. If you are not going to be in a room dont waste the energy..

Turn off every appliances and unplug them when not in use. For lighting, use LED lights instead or regular light bulbs. Build a hammock in the shady area of your patio or backyard and take a nap whenever you want.

I totally agree with you, turn off lights can save a lot of money in the long run.
I also realised that you can automatize many things at home to save a few dollars every month. Things like changing your light bulbs for low consumption ones or “Smart” Power Strips helped my family save hundreds of dollars last year.

Hi, Yes it's a very common issue during festive season the electricity bill increased due to bad light choice for decoration. I really prefer as these are more convenient to use than other lights and reduce your electricity bill on festivals. I already bought few boxes of fairy lights from Koopower, It has some really good led lights and I love the timing program function that automatically turns off the light even if I forget to do it manually.

Thank you for this. As electricity prices are currently skyrocketing, I need all the advice I can get! I've never been more aware of how much electricity we're using. We're not using the appliances that consume a lot of energy (ie, the dryer!) and making sure nothing is on while we're not using it. I'm now looking at switching providers to see if I can get a better deal. Here's hoping these high electricity prices don't last long!
