The best way to use a credit card is to only spend within your means and pay the balance off every month. Credit card interest is notoriously high, so clear the balance every month and avoid paying much more than you need to!
Set a limit that you can pay off in full if you need to. This way, your balance won't catch you out if you end up maxing out your credit card.
