I dont believe them to be a "real" appraisal company. A real apprasial would need a personal inspection done by a certifield apprasier. What your really looking at is somethign more along the lines of a general idea and this is deduced from the history of what homes in your area have been selling for.
So if your planning on buying a home or selling it. I suggest you utilize a proper apprasier and not this website.
You can actaully get that information for free anywhere whether its from a website or you can also call a local realestate broker for that info and any real estate agent could give you the same information but it is still not an appraisal.
Also if they ask for personal information, they might be trying to gather information to sell to the realestate and mortgage industry.
