| A few ideas to boost your profits |

A web site can be very, very profitable if you include at least these factors.
Selling ads:
- Do keyword research
- Do competition research
- Have good AND fresh content!!
- DO the onpage optimization for your keyword
- Put your Adsense or other on the top left position or to the left, besides
the text
- Create a lot of traffic:
* Submit your site to directories
* Blog a lot (get the word out)
* Post to forums a h*ll of a lot
* Don't submit to search engines as they will rank you higher if they find
you on their own - through blogs, forums and directories
* Do, absolutely DO viral marketing - at least include "Suggest this site to
a friend" script
* Write emails to related websites and ask them to link to your site
* ..., ..., ...
- Make an autoresponder free newsletter always referring your subscribers
to your website.
- Watch your profits grow 
Selling a product:
- create a good producd (duh)
- create a killer sales letter - the most important step. Take your time here. Think of all the objections your clients might have to buy and try to dispel them. Make it long, put a lot of benefits in it.
- Your site should NOT look too profesional. Repeat the "Order now" link all along the website (not too obvious though, but at least 7 times) and start doing it at the bottom half of the page.
- Have a free newsletter for those who do not decide to buy right away.
- Give a lot of bonuses. You can get those all around the net. Make sure it
is legal!
- Have a great post-sales letter ready - congratulate your costumers on
their purchase
- Create a lot of traffic - same as the above, but include affiliates.

yeah! I think you're Right But i'll advice anyone to make use of some of these things u mentioned not possible u add all it'll reduce the qulity of the design and sometimes they become clumsy for users

I think you should always do the design with your content and keyword(s) in mind. I suggest to put all javascript and css in a file and just link to them in the HTML using the <LINK> tag. That doesn't go for the Adsense code though.
First draw your site in let's say Photoshop and then start building it. As the most important thing on the site is content and usability, pay very much attention on that. I really suggest you have your content at least partly ready before you start with the design.
This goes against common sense at the first glance, but don't make your Adsense too visible. Use the same background as you used on your text. If you positioned it as I suggested in my first post, the people will click on it more as the ads won't look like ads, but more like links to related websites. Also don't use borders on adsense unless it goes with your web site nicely. There are many different ways, but the point is the same: Don't make it look too much of an add. And try to integrate it in your webdesign.

A good design and infrmative, fresh content will bring returning readers and generate more clicks. Those readers will suggest your site to others and so on.

You're welcome. I love to help. Wait till you read what I have to say about making money with blogs. It's out of this world  ))
But the world will have to wait a bit more. Anyway, there's tons of information on my web site (first one in the signature). I will be renewing it completely soon and will add some mind blowing info. Actually I'm thinking of making it a subscription site (didn't decide yet), but will be free for this forum members (yeah ).

Getting links to your website if you don't wanna spend a dime (from my new site):
This is a part of researching your competition from my first post. Go to Google. Type in your preferred keyword and click search. Now you got the results. Copy the first web site's URL and go to the "search bar" again. Enter "link:" and then copy and paste the url.
Example: If you typed "cartoons" in the search, the following was the first website in the results: www.cartoons.com. Now copy this address and write the following in the search: link:www.cartoons.com
You will get a list of all sites that are linking to that particular site. Now you know what you have to do in order to beat them: Contact each site and ask them to link to you. Many of them will be blogs - find out where their link is and try to get one for yourself. Usually all you need to do is to post a comment and add your URL. Make it a good comment - read the blog and try not to make it seem as an advertisment.
It is serious work, but unless you want to invest in software that does it for you, it is a great way. Write a nice email asking them to link to your site (and offer the same to them). Then get the contacts from all the web sites (they usually state them) and copy/paste them into the BCC field!!!. You don't want them to see what you are doing
Anyway, you'll probably get some good results, which wil be even better if you've already linked to them. Now go answer the poll

Yeah, internet would be dead without links. It's essential to get a lot of links linking to you. This way you get traffic from search-engines (they rank you higher) as well as from web sites linking to you.
I agree, putting links to your main site is a bit different than putting it on the links page. However, I will gladely link to a relevant site with great content (if it's not too competitive) as it will higher my rankings also .

Do send your site to as many dirrectories as possible. Write: "(your keyword) dirrectory" in Google and submit your link. It may mean that you will have to add them to your site, but they will get you better ranking and get you some more traffic.
BIG SECRET: Also add your link to many non-related sites!!! This way Google won't get on to you and you will remain listed high. In fact, the majority of your links SHOULD come from non-related sites.

Just do the blog idea from previous post for another keyword. The idea is to get as many links as you can get. But try not to spam. Do it in a discrete way. If you post 10 comments on 10 blogs (with your link in them) per day, you will have 900 links in three months. That's more than most No. 1 ranked websites have! That ofcourse depends, but holds true most of the times.
