We've added a new forum feature called Karma, that lets you reward other members that have helped you with good financial advice or useful information.
In each forum post you'll notice the member's Karma score and, in parenthesis, their number of Karma votes. Following those is a set of plus and minus buttons that allow members to provide positive or negative Karma to the poster.
If someone is helpful to you, please thank them by clicking the [+] button. If someone is providing bogus information that you know to be invalid you can click the [-] button, but just because you disagree with someone's opinion isn't a good reason to zap them with some bad Karma.
Members can't vote for themselves and can only cast Karma votes every few hours, so save it for when you really need it.
We hope that this feature will help recognize our community contributors. Who knows, one day we may even utilize this feature to provide the community with self-policing power to reduce spam and ripoffs.

Coaster, well, I'll give you +1 karma just because your cat avatar is so darn cute. Now you know.

Even though coaster gave me a Karma click we've decided to roll-back this feature for now. Karma was being a distraction for some members and probably a bit too touchy-feely of a feature for our financial forum.

Hey BFP, that's pretty good. LOL.
Senior members can still get some good karma though...

I had been away from the board for a little while and just came back - noticing that I no longer had karma. Naturally, I was immediately bummed beyond reason.

At least that was because Andrew disabled it and not because of pinhead users taking it away.
Oh, this isn't the moderator's only forum?

Rolo - your tag is the best. I've used it on several occasions.
