A big reason for the rupee collapse is, of course, the threat of the Fed's tapering of QE. QE has allowed foreigners to borrow USDollars wildly. Most of these loans will have to be repaid in US Dollars. So banks and other corporate borrowres are selling rupees to buy US Dollars. THis is why ALL the EM currencies are taking such a hit and will continue to take a hit for a long time. Turkey and Thailand and Indonsia also overborrowed from US banks in dollars.

IT/software making is India bastion at international levels and Trump mania will trim revenues earned by giant indian IT companies which will depreciate Indian ruppee against international currencies.
Some of the best computer/software programmers are from Europe, Russia, Africa, China, Japan.
you have a good point, however it just had a little effect on the Indian Rupee , the official rate depends on the Indian economy, customs regulations, and the capital controls exercised by the Reserve Bank of India.
