Any read the book yet??? I picked it up yesterday out of mere curiosity and its actually pretty good. Just wondering if anyone has read it and there thoughts on the book.

I read Rich Dad's Guide to Investing, which wasn't really a guide to investing in the traditional sense. It was a really easy read and I found it inspirational to a degree as well. However, in terms of specific content, I found the book somewhat lacking.

Ugh. RK should not be allowed a voice in the financial world. Many of the things he writes and questionable and some are outright dangerous if people actually listen to him. He's an admitted liar and fraud.
The majority of his money has come from selling books and seminars, not from actually implementing the advice he sells. If you want to learn about marketing and sales, study Kiyo. If you want to learn about money, study just about anyone else.

Just lately I came across the book title "The Millionaire Mindset." This is actually recommended by Bob Doyle, who has a program supporting "the new thought" movement which was popularized by the documentary "The Secret."

I actually could not stand the book Rich Dad Poor Dad. I read it this past weekend and then did a search for review of it to see if anyone felt the way I did. What was disheartening was his assertion that you have to take giant risks to get anywhere financially, and admitted near the end that he has more debt than 99% of Americans. I am not going to take advice from someone who is risking his net worth chasing deals that involve finder’s fees and amassing personal debt. I liked his initial premise to find ways to make money, but felt that the way he went about it was wrong.

I read the book already. To some extent, I think this book is useful to maintain our spirit of investment. Anyway, instead of follow main suggestion of this book to become an investor or businessman, I prefer to stick on current personal insight of getting money, since I have different life preference. Anyway, it's a good book to read.

Keep in mind, this is a book about one man's personal experiences and it is full of good and bad ideas to learn from, nothing more. It is not a blueprint for life, but it is very entertaining. It inspired me to buy my first domain name and capitalize on the popularity of the book back then, so I bought WII-FM.com and still use it today. That was the fictitious radio station he talked about and it reminds us to ask What's In It For Me.

Yes, I too recently bought this and just completed starting three pages it's really good. In the beginning itself, the author comes up with some good points about financial things. Looking forward to completing it as soon as possible.
